Available as an add-on to any web hosting package, Ilisys can host one or more domain pointers.

These are other domain names that point to or mirror the main hosted domain and is an alternative to simply parking the domain where you have many variations of your domain.

For example, the main domain may be mydomain.com.au and you may have two pointers setup mydomain.com and mydomain.info.

If someone browses to one of the pointer domains, they see exactly the same site as the main hosted domain.

If someone emails an address at the pointer domain, the email gets sent to the same mail account or mail forward as that address at the main domain. In other words, in the above example an email addressed to sales@mydomain.com or sales@mydomain.info will get delivered to the same mail account or forwarded to the same external address as sales@mydomain.com.au.

A domain pointer includes parking the domain on our nameservers if required.
