Configuring Outlook and Outlook Express

Please note, as vendors release new versions, these screenshots may differ from the version that you are running. Unless there is a major upgrade, i.e. from v4 to v5, the screenshots should be similar. Regardless, all mail clients require the same basic information:

Name
Email address
Incoming mail server (POP)
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
username
password

The setup of Outlook and Outlook Express are very similar. These screenshots were taken from Outlook Express and only differ slightly from Outlook. As always, if you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Technical Support (support@ilisys.com.au or 1800 995 645).

Open Outlook/Outlook Express
Click on Tools
Select Accounts


Click on Add
Select Mail


Enter your name in the Display name: field. Your name will appear on all emails that you send or reply to.
Click Next


Enter your email address in the Return address: field. Your email address will appear on all emails that you send or reply to
Click Next


Enter mail.ilisys.com.au or mail.your-domain.com in the Incoming mail: field.
Enter the SMTP server address of your ISP in the Outgoing mail: field
Click Next.


Enter the username that we provided you in the Account Name: field.
Enter the password that we provided you in the Password: field.
If you no longer have a copy of your username or password, please email support@ilisys.com.au.
Click next.


Click Finish
