Please note, as vendors release new versions, these screenshots may differ from the version that you are running. Unless there is a major upgrade, i.e. from v4 to v5, the screenshots should be similar. Regardless, all FTP clients require the same basic information:

Host name (FTP address)
Username
Password

Open Dreamweaver
Click Site
Select Define Sites


From the 'Access' pull-down menu, select FTP
Enter ftp.yourdomain.com in the 'FTP Host' field
Enter www/ in the 'Host Directory' field
Enter your username in the 'Login' field
Enter your password in the 'Password' field
Checking the 'Save' box is useful, but not essential
Check 'Use Passive FTP'
Click OK
