Dynamic subdomain facility
Wednesday, December 28th, 2005Dynamic subdomains are a new feature of our Linux Cluster wherein requests to test.yourdomainname.com.au are served from www.yourdomainname.com.au/test.
Dynamic subdomains provide a simple way to create a self contained website that still relates back to your main site, for example a support portal.
To make use of Dynamic subdomains first enable the feature within your Toolkit, then create a directory under www. This directory will then be accessible as both dirname.yourdomainname.com.au and www.yourdomainname.com.au/dirname.
When first enabling Dynamic subdomains the subdomains will not be available until midnight that night.
