As a standard feature of Microsoft Windows hosting, developers can create ASP scripts to access Microsoft Access databases they upload onto the site.

You can connect to the database with either a system Data Source Name (DSN) or a DSN-less style connection. If you need a DSN created for your database, first upload the database .mdb file to it's final location, then contact Ilisys Technical Support.

If your scripts need to write to the database, contact Technical Support to get the right permissions set for the database.

Note, the use of Access databases created with Microsoft Access 97 is not supported due to problems with the current MDAC drivers and Access 97 databases under load. Please create your database with Access 2000 or better.
